FRESH IN!

ST PATRICK'S DAY - GRAB ONE OF IRELANDS FINEST!

We've stocked up this week on two of our favourite Irish breweries. WHIPLASH put out some of the best beer going - modern, full flavoured and very well executed.

We've got a host of juice laden pales and IPA's - including a bonkers 10% Triple IPA 'SOUND OF SILVER'. Plus, 'THE SUP' is their rather delicious Porter. We've also got 'ALMA' - their Belgian inspired Witbier with addition of some citrus peel to make it a super refreshing drop. 'CLOSE TO PARADISE' is another stand out for me - this Nelson Sauvin hopped pale is all tropical fruits and a touch of dankness. I've not had a bad beer from these folk so grab yourself a set today before I do!

Another fantastic Irish brewery in our fridges this week is BULLHOUSE. We've got a cracking steam beer called 'PIONEER STEAM' - golden malt sweetness and a clean crisp citrussy finish here - it's a lovely style executed really well here. 'MERC BRO' is for you hopheads - this is triple dry hopped with Galaxy, Simcoe and Mosaic which is a lovely combination - tropical, sweet fruity notes.

OUR STOUT & PORTER PICKS FOR ST PATRICKS DAY!

Need an alternative to Guinness? Here's 3 picks from our selection that we think will really fit the bill today!

TOØL - CHAAARGE - This is a classic dry stout, smooth with plenty of roasted malt character coming through. Plus, it's Nitro charged to give it an even smoother edge!

THE KERNEL - DRY STOUT - The Kernel always nail this style of beer and this is no exception. Dark chocolate and bitter coffee with a lovely fruity top note.

POHJALA - OHTU PORTER - We all know Pohjala make some of the best dark beer going and Ohtu is a firm favourite for us. It's soft and well rounded, with a well layered malt bill including some rye for a touch of added complexity and the addition of vanilla to round things off nicely.

SOME FANTASTIC BELGIAN & GERMAN BEERS JUST IN

TROUBADOR are back in our fridges with 3 of my favourites from their range. Their BLONDE is a lovely example of the style, fruity with some classic spicy notes from the yeast. Then we have the elegant and excellent OBSCURA - it's a stout/brown ale affair here, loads of roasted malt notes and rich chocolate. Finally, WESTKUST, their hoppy Black IPA (sort of). Loads of fruity top notes with an underlying malt profile giving off some chocolate, coffee and a lovely smoothness.

And from Germany we've got some of the excellent MAHRS BRAU in. Hands down one of my favourite brewers of lager styles, their Unfiltered (aU Undegspundet Naturub) is really fantastic in my humble opinion.

AND FINALLY...

BURNING SKY's latest iteration of INDECISION TIME is here. A a quad hop bill of Amarillo, Idaho 7, Mosaic and Simcoe and as usual, it's got everything you want in an IPA.

SAINT MARS OF THE DESERT have also just landed with their two latest releases. I've made no secret of my love for their beer, so if you haven't tried their beers yet, please do.

FLUFFY WHITE RABBITS is an Easter beer, a Belgian style blonde brewed in the trademark style hopping the in the coolship. Really fruity, crisp and a dry finish.

JACK D'OR is their renowned American Saison. Refreshing and assertively hopped for a lovely, lingering bitterness.

THE KERNEL have just released their first SAISON BLEND. A must for anyone into this style, This Saison Blend is a mixed-fermentation saison combining Kernel's Apricot Stone Bière de Saison from 2018 with their younger Grisette from 2021. Tart, fruity apricot and a dry, bitter finish.
